I learned that nobody's faces are the same. Everyone has a different size and shape face. Everyone's hair line is different and you can draw them differently. I learned that you have to draw a guy's face different than a ladies. From the practice I learned that I suck at drawing faces. I learned that you have to have proportion to make your face look half way decent. If it is not symetrical then it doesn't look good. I learned that you have to draw lines to get everything to line up. I improved like 100% since the pre test. I learned a lot from doing the drawing in class and that has helped a lot.
For this project I made scratch art. This was actually a lot of fun. I injoyed making scratch art. I learned that by just scratching you can make lovely pictures. I like that we had a big list to choose from. If I had to do this project agin I wouldn't change anything. I like just the way I did it. I free handed it and I really enjoyed this project. I learned from the films that the guy that talked in them has had a hard life. I know that if u have a disability that then you have a limitation and that changes the way that you do art work then. I learned that limitations are not always a bad thing. What I learned from completing the project is that paper and tape can hold a tremendous amount of weight. For the final project our limitation was that we only could use tape and paper. We decide on that as our limitation because we like to build things. It didn't really effect our project because we are good at building things. I learned that tape and paper are extremely strong. What I learned about perspective drawing is that you can draw like a professional artist just useing lines. I learned that when you make boxes and put them all together you can make a city out of just squares. I like how you can make hallways look like they are going back in space by just drawing useing a center point. What I didn't in joy was having to use a ruler and make sure that everything was lined up with the center point. Knowing how to use these techniques will help make my drawings more realistic. When I am drawing in the future you could make like a city then put the rest of your art work around it to make it look like a really cool city with a war going on ect. This was a really frustrating but fun thing to learn it takes some getting used to. It just fells so weird to make things go back into space. Sometimes it is hard to remember how to line the things up with the vantageing point to have everything line up to make it look correct. For this project I created a jakalope. What I learned from the video clips is that it is ok to copy but not steel. For my artwork I used appropriation I made everything prepoetianate to the other parts. My ideas were to make a rabbit with horns which is called a jakalope. It really didn't change my thoughts about useing reference. I took a picture of a weed sticking out of the snow. I had to look all weekend to find a good picture. I took alot of pictures before i found one that nicely represented positive and negative space. This took alot of planning. I had to take multipal pictures till i got the one that i had really wanted.
I learned that you can make a picture look really good with just a few colors. I will only use them in the future if i have to i like to be able to just use what ever colors i want to and not have to stick to just a few. What i learned by doing this project is that you can do alot with just a few colors and make drawings look really good. I liked doing this project as i learned alot. I learned that you can blend oil pastels really good.
I will be useing the monochromatic color scheme. I chose this one because it was easier. I am finding that oil pastels look really good and realistic. I plan on finishing by coloring in the rest of the items to compleat the picture. This is going to be a sunflower feild.
My artwork is about ice fishing. Because that's what I do all the time. I created this with drawing materials and paper and my hand and my mind and that's it. The first thing that I learned was how to clean a paint brush. Then we learned how to mix colors to match. The next thing that we learned was the 8 painting techniques. The most important thing that we learned was the 8 techniques. This boot camp will help to make my paintings a lot more intresting. |
